Hi Mr. Loonie, This pin is from GPO[16] which SW team had fixed GPIO 3.3V level issue. Also this pin is used to reset USB hub when system wakes up from passive standby mode. The purpose is to stabilize the USB hub while BT module connects to it. If the GPIO is cancelled and replaced by V33 pull high, the BT might has stabilization issue. SW team also suggests not to cancel this GPIO. Thank you. |

Hi Mr. Sean Chiang, As we discussed on weekly meeting last week, please check it with your SW team agian. Hi Mr. Fu-Chiang, Could you check it with Mr. Sean Chiang ? We are checking it for repair purpose only. We would like to know when your SW reset Hub IC during the operation. Best Regards, SuhYoung YOON |

Hi Mr.Yoon and Lonnie, Currently, the software reset for USB Hub only operated when the system is powered on. If it's just for repair purposes or to clarify the BT failure, It's OK to do this change. However, I'm aware that our software team is now implementing the passive standby functionality. And we found that the USB hub may be unstable when resuming from passive standby. So, we have to use SoC to reset USB Hub again to make sure it works normally after passive standby. If the board's USB hub is implemented with a hardware power reset, the board will not be suitable for introducing passive standby functionality. Regards, Sean |
